THE NORDSON OPTIMIX® SYSTEM SIMPLIFIES THE MIXING OF TWO-COMPONENT MATERIALS AMHERST, OH - May 12, 2006 - The Nordson (Nasdaq – NDSN) Optimix® dispensing system combines electronic metering technology with simple, touch-screen controls for an easy introduction to the world of mixing two-component materials. The simple operation of the Nordson Optimix system provides precise metering and mixing of two-component lacquers for precise application. “The Optimix system provides excellent ratio control and adjustability for coating operations,” say Chris Walters, Marketing Manager, Nordson Liquid Systems Group. “Nordson builds each Optimix system per customer application,” continues Walters, “and each system can control up to 32 materials with a mixing accuracy of ± 1%.” The Optimix is available in low-pressure (< 100 psi) and high-pressure (1500 psi) versions and is compatible with several paint supply types. The system also works with a variety of automatic and manual application equipment including airless, air-assisted airless, HVLP, electrostatic, and non-electrostatic spray guns. The system operates with simple, icon-based, touch-screen controls or it can be configured with a remote control. The user-friendly controls can save up to 30 mixing recipes.
