F/T Sensor: Gamma

Description

The Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensor system measures the full six components of force and torque (Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty, Tz). The system consists of a transducer, shielded high-flex cable, an intelligent data acquisition system, and an Ethernet/DeviceNet interface or F/T controller.

Force/Torque sensors are used throughout industry for product testing, robotic assembly, grinding and polishing. In research, our sensors are used in robotic surgery, haptics, rehabilitation, neurology and many others applications.

  • Extremely high strength with low weight: Precision machined from high-strength aircraft aluminum. Maximum allowable overload values are 6.9 to 31.6 times rated capacities.
  • High signal-to-noise ratio: Silicon strain gages provide a signal 75 times stronger than conventional foil gages. This signal is amplified, resulting in near-zero noise distortion.
  • IP60, IP65, and IP68 Versions Available: An IP60 version is for use in dusty environments. The IP65 version of the transducer is protected against water spray. The IP68 version is submergible in freshwater to a depth of 32.8 ft (10 m).

Applications:

  • Real-time force control
  • Robotic assembly
  • Haptics feedback
  • Automotive part testing
  • Prosthetic device testing
