Abrasive Grind and Blend Kit Leaves 32 RMS OR Better Finish on Stainless Steel

A new kit for grinding heavy welds on stainless steel that includes an abrasive grinding wheel, which reportedly works faster than aluminum oxide wheels, and a cotton-fiber blending wheel which leaves a smooth finish has been introduced by Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts. The Rex-Cut® Grind and Blend Kit for stainless steel includes a Sigma Green grinding wheel for aggressively removing heavy welds and a cotton-fiber Type 27 blending and finishing wheel that leaves a 32 RMS or better finish. Featuring a zirconia-ceramic grain and a proprietary bonding, this grinding wheel cuts up to 50% faster than a traditional aluminum oxide wheel and 20% cooler to prevent discoloring and warping, claims the firm. Packaged in a handy plastic clamshell, the Rex-Cut® Grind and Blend Kit for stainless steel comes standard with 4-1/2" dia. wheels which are offered with or without hubs. The Sigma Green grinding wheel is virtually iron-free (0.035% iron) and the cotton-fiber Type 27 blending and finishing wheel constantly reveals fresh aluminum oxide abrasives as it works.
