Bryant Announces Latest Addition in Straight-Blade Plugs and Connectors Line

MILFORD, Conn., April 21, 2006 – Bryant Electric has launched a series of redesigned straight blade plugs and connectors featuring Bryant’s patented Triple-Gripper® cord clamp. The line of straight blade devices has the same look, features and benefits previously available only on Bryant’s premier locking devices.
The Triple-Gripper® cord clamp automatically centers and secures the cord as the assembly screws on the face of the device are tightened. Its exclusive “radius teeth” design firmly holds the cord without damaging the conductors or using external clamps or screws. Surrounding the cord clamp opening is a thermoplastic elastomer dust seal designed to help prevent dust, moisture and contaminants from entering the wiring chamber. The device accommodates wire sizes ranging from 0.300” to 0.655” without any modification, inserts or adapters.
Bryant’s Triple-Gripper ® plugs and connectors feature heavy-duty double wall construction along with tough, impact/chemical resistant nylon face and housing. The rugged design is durable, easy to assemble and thoroughly protects the user from internal metal parts. The latest addition to the straight blade plugs and connectors line is UL Listed, CSA Certified and meets Federal Specification WC596, NOM and CE requirements.
