Collapsible Container System

Description

Buckhorn Inc. introduces a new class of pallet-sized, collapsible containers featuring an integrated pallet and lid system.  Maximizer™, a revolutionary alternative for corrugated bulk container users, is an ideal solution for shipping and storing light-duty dry goods that maximizes productivity, cost savings, safety, space usage and sustainability.  Unlike short-lived corrugated bulk containers that are awkward to assemble and knockdown, Maximizer is easily constructed by one person and can be reused hundreds of times.  The walls easily assemble and collapse, while the integrated locking system provides strength and stability in transport.  It is made from durable, moisture-resistant plastic and can be stored indoors or outdoors.  Its innovative design offers better ergonomics with two full-width access side doors and four-way forklift pallet entry.

“We designed Maximizer based on the input of numerous customers,” said Mike Thomas, New Product Development Manager.  “More and more companies are demanding a lean, sustainable, cost-effective solution to replace cardboard in their operations.”

Buckhorn’s Maximizer product is 100% recyclable.  It has a 48” x 40” x 41” footprint and holds up to 1,000 lbs.  It weighs approximately 30% less than traditional plastic bulk boxes and can be stacked three high for added storage space.  One assembled unit can store eight collapsed containers inside.  Maximizer also folds flat and fits within its own footprint offering a superior 5:1 return ratio – approximately 300 collapsed containers fit in a 53’ trailer.  Additionally, it supports a safe, clean working environment.  There are no sharp edges, staples or nails to contend with, and it eliminates dust.

“Buckhorn has more than 40 years of reusable packaging experience,” commented Joe Borer, Buckhorn’s Market Manager.  “We are committed to enter new categories in order to supply the industry with the most innovative, comprehensive product line on the market.  Maximizer offers a favorable impact on our customers’ bottom line and costs less per use than corrugated plastic containers.”
