CrimpCenter: Two New Models to Maximize Productivity

In addition to the successful CrimpCenter 63 with three processing stations, Schleuniger has introduced two new models to their family of fully automatic crimping machines: the CrimpCenter 64 with four processing stations and the CrimpCenter 65 with up to five processing stations. Both machines offer new processing capabilities with various configuration possibilities for crimping, sealing, twisting and tinning of wires from 30 to 10 AWG (0.05 mm² to 6 mm²). New options further expand the CrimpCenter application range and allow for processing of demanding applications such as thin, short or long wires, zip cords, closed barrel terminals or hard jacket seals.
Unmatched short change-over times
As production lots become increasingly smaller, short change-over times become more and more important. With the ToolingShuttle System (TSS) and Plug & CrimpÔ technology, Schleuniger now offers an economical solution to significantly reduce setup time from one crimping station to another. The innovative system allows setup work to be done while the CrimpCenter machine is still producing. Depending on how often customers change applications during production, productivity increases of 30 percent or more can be achieved.
