CUT-OFF WHEELS FAST ON STAINLESS STEEL
Description
A line of cut-off wheels that can cut stainless steel up to two times faster than conventional resinoid wheels, using straight- and right angle grinders, is available from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts. Rex-Cut® ALPHA-GREEN Cut-Off Wheels feature a reinforced resinoid bonding system of aluminum oxide abrasives and a thin .040” profile for rapid stock removal and cool cutting. Twice as fast as thicker conventional wheels on stainless steel, they fit straight- and right angle grinders, produce a small exit bur, and save time and labor, claims the firm. Available in Type 1 straight-sided and Type 27 depressed-center styles, Rex-Cut® ALPHA-GREEN Cut-Off Wheels come in 3”, 4”, 4-1/2”, 5”, 6” and 7” dia. sizes in a 60 grit which is .040” thick and a 46 grit .045” thick. Applications include cutting stainless steel rod, pipe, tubing, and sheet. Rex-Cut® ALPHA-GREEN Cut-Off Wheels are priced from $0.96 ea., depending upon quantity; packaged 25 to 50 per box.
