DRF Series DIN Rail Mount Power Supplies

Description

DRF series of full-featured DIN rail mount power supplies support the growing trend for DIN power solutions in industrial, building automation, and process control applications. The series combines extremely compact dimensions with industry-leading efficiency of up to 94%. No load power consumption is between <0.5 W and <0.75 W depending on the model type.

 

Carrying a 5-year warranty, the 24V output is available in 3 power levels, 120 (5), 240 (10), and 480 W (20 A), and can deliver a peak power of 150% for 4 seconds. The overload characteristic is constant current style; ideal for driving motors and other non-linear loads. Additional features include remote on/off, parallel capability, remote voltage adjust, and a DC good relay output. The supplies operate from a universal input of 85 to 264V AC and have EN61000-3-2 compliance, enabling worldwide use; moreover, they can withstand input voltage surges of 300V AC for 5 seconds. Housed in a metal case, the DRF series offers a narrow design, ranging from 1 to 3 in. (36.5 to 82 mm). The smallest model measures just 1 x 5 x 4.5 in. (36.5 x 123 x 115 mm). 

 

All DRF models will mount on either a TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rail offering engineers a flexible option for various applications. In addition, they have been rigorously tested for shock and vibration while mounted onto the rail. The supplies can operate at full load over a wide temperature range of -13 to 140°F (-25 to 60°C) (derating linearly to 70% load at 158°F (70°C)).

 

Other features include over-current, over-voltage protection, and a hold-up time of up to 20 ms at full load. The DRF series is approved to UL508 safety standard for industrial control equipment. Further safety approvals include IEC/EN 60950-1 (2nd Ed.) and UL/CSA 60950-1. CE marked in accordance with the LV Directive, EMC Directive, and RoHS Directive, the power supplies are designed to meet EN55022 and CISPR22 Class B for conducted and radiated EMI.
