Weidmuller’s media converters convert electrical signals from RJ45 ports
to multimode optical ports via SC- and ST-style connectors respectively. Both models support full or half duplex operation, set by two front-panel DIP switches. In addition, the media converters include LEDs for convenient front-panel diagnostics.
Weidmuller’s media converters offer reduced installation time, increased reliability and a 5-year warranty. They are rated for IP20 environments, and are cULus 508 Listed. Designed to be efficient, they require only 40mm of DIN-rail space and consume just 4 watts of power. They feature low voltage AC or DC power and redundant power connections to keep industrial networks running smoothly. It is important to note that these media converters should be grounded at all times to ensure continuous reliable operation.
