The Falcon sensor by BEA ensures safety and accuracy at security checkpoints, in loading docks, and in other warehouse applications including high speed doors and places where the triggering of audible or visual warnings is necessary.

The Falcon’s state-of-the-art microprocessor technology ensures an exact sensing field, which activates the door only when needed, eliminating unwarranted door openings. The unit can detect differences between pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as between approaching and departing motion in order to open when appropriate. By preventing unnecessary door openings, the Falcon promotes energy efficiency.

The self-contained Falcon unit can be programmed for multiple functions and customized for uni-directional approach or bi-directional sensing and uni-directional depart, a unique feature that allows a door to open when traffic is moving away from the sensor. All key parameters are easily adjusted via remote control, avoiding the need for a ladder and unnecessary downtime to make adjustments.

The Falcon is an excellent alternative to loop detectors, which cannot sense parallel traffic and often require costly facility modification for installation. It can be connected to a warning system and provides a relay to trigger an audio alarm or visual warning once detection has occurred. The unit mounts easily on either a wall or ceiling using a universal bracket with two models to accommodate various mounting heights. The sturdy unit is NEMA-4 rated and is unaffected by rain, snow, fog, dust and other environmental conditions.
