Harley-Davidson® Footwear Takes a Step into the Workplace Offering Footwear With Safety and Style

ROCKFORD, Mich. (June 1, 2006) – With a strong work ethic and a bold attitude, Harley-Davidson Footwear is making its mark in the workplace. Offering durable construction and essential safety features, the latest styles from Harley-Davidson Footwear are sure to rev engines.

The Dipstick (D91630) boot, available in both men’s and women’s sizes, offers a classic, full-grain leather work boot style with the comfort and durability needed to get the job done. Goodyear® welt construction provides rugged dependability. An oil, water, abrasion, chemical, heat, slip and metal chips-resistant outsole helps workers keep a steady stance. A padded collar, breathable lining and full-cushion sock liner create the comfort necessary for longer than usual work days. A hook and eye lace-up system and a “Harley-Davidson” Bar and Shield logo on the ankle complete the style with Harley-Davidson detail. Available in soft toe or steel toe which conforms to ASTM specifications.

Offering the same safety features as the Dipstick, but with a little more attitude, the men’s Brake Buckle (D95226) creates a bold look not often seen in work place protection. A six-inch full-grain leather boot with hook and eye lace-up styling combines with a wrap-over, H-D branded buckle at the ankle to create a hard-working Harley-Davidson feel. The Brake Buckle offers protection inside and out with ASTM-certified steel-toe reinforcement. “Harley-Davidson” inscribed metal plates are featured at the toe and heel while branded rivets adorn the boot’s upper. An inside zipper allows for easy on and off. Offering durable Goodyear welt construction and an oil-resisting outsole, the Brake Buckle merges safety and style.

ASTM-certified steel-toes are just the beginning of the protection offered by the men’s Flash (D91231) and Mega Conductor (D91137) full-grain leather boots. Styled as classic engineer motorcycle boots, they serve double-duty as work wear. Goodyear welt construction pairs with mid-calf height protection to provide complete coverage and strength. Both boots offer oil, water, abrasion, chemical, heat, slip and metal chips-resistant outsoles. The Flash’s lightweight dual-density polyurethane outsole offers protection without the weight while the Twin Pad™ Comfort Technology creates all-day cushion for job descriptions that don’t include the phrase “corner office.” Harness styling and a Harley-Davidson bar logo on the Flash prove that footwear can possess both style and a good work ethic. Adjustable buckles wrap-over the ankle and upper calf of the Mega Conductor while a “Harley-Davidson” inscribed metal heel plate shows just who’s getting the job done.

When it comes to comfort, the men’s Crossroads (D94005) will never leave a worker at a standstill. This athletic-inspired hiker provides an EVA midsole with an airbag cushion to keep working feet feeling pampered from sun-up to sun-down. Black leather and nylon mesh uppers provide both comfort and airflow while orange detailing conveys a sporty Harley-Davidson feel. Casual lace-up styling allows workers to transition easily from a job site to weekend wear. Despite its laid-back look, when the jobsite gets dangerous the Crossroads helps protect vulnerable feet and toes with an ASTM-certified steel-toe.

These work styles are available at Harley-Davidson Dealerships and select retailers around the country.
