X5N Electrically Conductive and Heat Resistant Elastomer

Description

X5N, a cost-effective, one-component adhesive/sealant for EMI/RFI shielding and related applications. Master Bond Polymer Systems, X5N offers shielding over a wide frequency range (more than 40db, from 1mhz to 1ghz), superior environmental resistance, and excellent long-term durability at a surprisingly modest cost.

Master Bond's X5N nickel filled/elastomer-based, electrically conductive adhesive/sealant, also features uniquely favorable adhesive properties and can be easily applied to most surfaces including metals, ceramics, glass, rubbers, plastics, paper, wood, leather, concrete, and stone, generally without the need for pretreatment. Uniform continuous coatings characterized by high electrical conductivity (surface resistance (0.005") of 0.5 ohms/square) and superior electromagnetic shielding effectiveness are readily formed and are highly resistant to weathering, abrasion, humidity, and corrosion.

X5N is composed of superior oxidation and chemically inert high purity metal particles. The conductive particles have excellent heat dissipation characteristics and will not oxidize even when exposed for prolonged periods of time to an oxidizing environment. The service temperature range of the Master Bond X5N adhesive/sealants is from -80°F to + 300°F.
