In-Line Flow Controls
Clippard’s new In-Line Flow Controls can be easily added to existing circuitry and are lightweight and compact in size. Intake air flows freely through the flow control; exhaust air is metered out through an adjustment screw. A schematic on the body of the valve indicates the direction of controlled flow. Since it is a tube-to-tube connection, in-line flow controls may be installed as a meter in or a meter out device.
Control is varied through a finely threaded adjustment screw. A locking nut is provided so it can be secured in its final setting. In-line flow controls are designed to mount on the piping between the directional valve and the cylinder compared to other flow controls that are designed to be mounted on a valves or cylinder. It is sometimes impossible to mount a flow control directly on the port of the cylinder, either due to lack of space or because of the need for remote adjustment of the flow control. This particular series of flow controls are perfect for low cost and lightweight applications where you mount directly to an NPT port on a cylinder or valve. Available in 20 different models, Clippard has the right product at the right price. #10-32, 1/8” NPT, ¼” NPT, 3/8” NPT.
