APEM Components, a leading manufacturer of quality switches and joysticks, has expanded its range of sealed pushbuttons with the introduction of a new Ø16mm push- button switch. The IR Series pushbutton switch is sealed to IP67 and is available in a wide array of terminals, colors and illumination options. The IR pushbutton is designed to endure harsh environments, perfect for demanding applications in the marine, transportation, construction, military and medical equipment markets.
The IR Series is offered with tactile and snap acting contact mechanisms, with gold or silver plated contacts and with NO, NC and NO/NC electrical functions. It is suitable for low level switching and is available with a 5 amp rating for higher power applications. The IR series is rated for 500,000 cycles at 250 VAC and at 1 million cycles for low level applications.
The IR series is customizable for a variety of applications with 10 actuator colors, 5 LED colors, a round or square bezel and five termination options; solder lug, wire lead, PC, quick-connect and screw terminals, a unique feature for this type of product.
