Lead-Free Brass Solenoid Valves

Description

Brass valves that comply with Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requirements for lead-free components. The lead-free brass constructions are available on the company’s most popular lines of general service solenoid valves.

The SDWA’s section 1417 prohibits the use of leaded components in valves handling water “intended for human consumption.” Lead-free brass valves from ASCO facilitate equipment design by eliminating the need to perform the wetted surface area lead content calculation specified by the SDWA.

Five psi minimum pressure differential models also are available. The valves are ideal for applications seeking compliance with the SDWA such as dishwashing equipment and general plumbing uses.
