Low Viscosity, One Component Adhesive/Impregnant

Description

Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, NJ has developed a very low viscosity, one component epoxy resin system called EP19HT for high performance bonding, sealing, impregnation and coating applications. The Master Bond EP19HT polymer system cures readily at temperatures above 250°F and has a shelf life at ambient temperatures of as long as 3 months without the need for refrigeration. The cured EP19HT features very high physical strength properties and excellent chemical resistance over the exceptionally wide temperature range of -60°F to +400°F. Adhesive characteristics to both metallic and nonmetallic substrates are outstanding. EP19HT superior adhesive and chemical resistance properties can be utilized in demanding coating and sealing applications. Additionally, the EP19HT epoxy resin system has excellent electrical insulator properties.

EP19HT has exceptionally low viscosity that facilitates impregnation of porous surfaces as well sealing and bonding closely fitting substrates including metals, ceramics and many plastics. Assemblies bonded, sealed or impregnated with EP19HT offer enhanced strength, chemical resistance and greatly improved dimensional stability. These desirable performance characteristics are maintained even upon prolonged exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Master Bond Polymer System EP19HT does not require any mixing prior to usage and thus greatly increases the productivity of manufacturing operations. EP19HT is available in pints, quarts, gallons, 5 gallon pails and drums.
