Micro CG-100TM Combustible Gas Sniffer Offers Unique Tri-Mode Detection

RIDGID® introduces the new Micro CG-100™ combustible gas sniffer that quickly and accurately detects gas leakage. Offering unique Tri-Mode Detection™, an operator is alerted to the presence of combustible gas with a visible signal, audible alarm or silent vibration.
The Micro CG-100 gas sniffer quickly and accurately detects low levels of methane (including natural gas), propane, butane, ammonia, and many other combustible gases. It is ideal for users who work in maintenance, utility, plumbing, or HVAC. The silent vibration alert vibrates more frequently as the user gets closer to gas, and is ideal for noisy daytime construction environments and to avoid unnecessary alarm.
The Micro CG-100 gas sniffer can be adjusted to high- or low-level sensitivity within a wide overall range (40 ppm to 6400 ppm for methane). These features help users more quickly and easily locate both smaller and larger leaks.
With an easy-to-use, rugged and durable design, the Micro CG-100 gas sniffer carries an extra-long battery life, providing more than 20 hours of use, ensuring maximum up time. It is also outfitted with an LED light at the end of the probe to help illuminate dark spaces. A 16-inch black probe hose provides easy access to confined spaces, and is secured by a built-in clip for secure storage.
“The Micro CG-100 gas sniffer is unique in that it is the only combustible gas sniffer on the market that also vibrates to alert users to the presence of gas,” said Rick Barone, director of marketing, pipe working tools, RIDGID. “With its ergonomic design features, the Micro
CG-100 gas sniffer is easy to grip, carry and use, and can withstand harsh jobsite conditions.”
