miniature series of 1W SIP converters

MicroPower Direct, is pleased to announce the availability of the DM100E series a miniature series of 1W SIP converters.  Their unique combination of ultra-miniature packaging, high performance features and low cost make them an ideal choice for a wide variety of space critical applications. Features include a 0.15 square inch product footprint (with a low 0.3 inch profile), 1,000 VDC isolation, high efficiency and single & dual outputs. All models in the series meet RoHS requirements. As part of MPD's "Cost Cutter" series of products, they are offered at very low prices.
Twelve models operate from 5 VDC and 12 VDC inputs, providing outputs of 5, 12, 15, ±5, ±12, or ±15 VDC. Standard features include an input/output isolation of 1,000 VDC, an internal filter, efficiency as high as 81% and low noise operation. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the DM100E series is greater than 3.5 Mhours.
All models of the DM100E family are packaged in an ultra-miniature 6-Pin SIP package. The pin-out is industry standard. The case dimensions are only 0.65 (L) x 0.23 (W) x 0.3 (H) inches, giving a footprint of only 0.15 square inches. Each model is specified for operation over the wide industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ambient. No derating or heat sinking is required over this range. Cooling is by free-air convection.
The DM100E series is an ideal solution for a variety of board level power applications requiring 1W of output power, miniature package size and low component cost. Applications would include industrial process systems, medical equipment & instrumentation, data processing equipment, robotic systems and board level power distribution subsystems.
