Monitored Output Emitter

Description

Clairex Technologies announces its new CLE390, an advanced, high efficiency, 850nm infrared emitting diode and a monitor photodiode, mounted on a three leaded TO-46 header and hermetically sealed in a glass domed metal lens can. With additional circuitry, the IF applied to the IRED can be adjusted to ensure constant output level. Typical applications include, instrument lighting in automotive applications, back light displays, encoder feedback, touch screens, ambient light sampling, wafer probing, and any constant illumination source requirement. At IF = 100mA, typical irradiance is 1.5mW/cm2 (>60mW/sr) , typical forward voltage is 1.7V, emission angle at the half power points is 22 degrees and output rise/fall time is 20/40 ns. Typical coupled light current on the photodiode is 0.5mA. Two additional monitored output emitters are available: the CLE290 which contains an 880nm IRED and the CLE190 which contains a 940nm IRED. All devices are RoHS compliant. The CLE390 (850nm) is priced at $2.43 ea/1000, the CLE290 (880nm) is $2.59 ea/1000 and the CLE190 (940nm) is $2.28 ea/ 1000. Delivery is 4-6 weeks ARO. Samples are available now.
