MSA Releases Z Gard™ S Sensor with APOGEE Anywhere*Capability

Description

MSA (NYSE: MSA) is pleased to announce the release of the Z Gard™ S Sensor for the detection of carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide or refrigerants in air with the APOGEE Anywhere product enhancement. This economical and reliable product uses solid state or electrochemical sensors which generate a representative output signal proportional to the calibrated operating range. The new APOGEE Anywhere output allows these sensors to communicate with other APOGEE Building Solutions over a centralized network. Integrating Z Gard S Sensors into this network provides greater safety, convenience and efficiency with low installation and ownership costs.

All Z Gard S Sensors are available with two other output versions. The 4-20mA analog output version can be installed as a stand-alone sensor typically integrated with the Z Gard C Controller or common commercial equipment including PLC, DCS or building automation systems. The Z Gard S Sensor version with addressable RS-485 digital output is specifically designed to operate with any Z Gard C 485 Controller, operating as a system. Additional features of the Z Gard S Sensor include:

• Standard PVC tamper-resistant housing

• Sensor and electronics housed in a steel cover plate mounting to box

• Green "OK" LED showing sensor status

• Jumpers to drive the output top percentages of full-scale
