Description

Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, N.J. has developed a new two component, toughened, quartz filled epoxy compound for high performance structural bonding and casting called Supreme 45HTQ. It is formulated to withstand long term exposures of -60°F to +450°F and has superior durability, thermal shock and chemical resistance.  It is resistant to ETO sterilization, chemical sterilants and repeated autoclaving.  Supreme 45HTQ has a high compressive strength and has a tensile strength >10,000 psi. Master Bond Supreme 45HTQ can be applied on vertical surfaces without sagging or dripping.  It is 100% solid and does not contain any solvents or diluents.  Supreme 45HTQ is easy to apply and only contact pressure is required for cure.  It cures rapidly at elevated temperatures.  It will take 2-3 hours to cure at 275-325°F Adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, woods, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics is excellent.  It also produces superior seals and high quality pottings.  The hardened epoxy is a superior electrical insulator.  It also offers resistance to radiation up to 1010 rads.  The cured compound fully meets the requirements of MIL-MMM-132 Type III.
