Non-Sparking Hammers
Description
Non-sparking, corrosion-resistant hammers are ideal for driving, striking, metal forging, and demolition applications in petrochemical plants, oil refineries, natural gas installations & oil drilling platforms, in marine and other industries where non-sparking safety tools are required. Manufactured from Copper-Beryllium or special Aluminum-Bronze alloys, the hammers are specifically made to eliminate the risk of sparks at sites with potentially explosive atmospheres.
These special alloys meet OSHA and ATEX regulations for safe use in Ex Zones where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors, liquids, dusts or residues may be present. Forged for the highest quality in hand tools, each hammer is laser engraved with the proper Ex Zone classifications, indicating the safety zones for which it can be used.
CS Unitec’s non-sparking hammer line includes ball peen, cross peen, claw, club, scaling, and plastic hammers. Handle lengths range from 10 up to 15 in. (25 to 38 cm). A sledgehammer is available with handle lengths from 9.75 up to 33 in. (24.8 to 84 cm).
