Schmalz Inc. was founded in February of 1999 as second foreign subsidiary of the German based mother company J. Schmalz GmbH. Schmalz Inc. started in Raleigh, NC in a 1,800sf building and with (5) employees.
Today, Schmalz Inc. employs (24) people. In the spring of 2009, Schmalz Inc. purchased a 20,000sf building located in North-Raleigh. This move exemplifies Schmalz Inc. financial strength, making it the biggest investment in the company’s history. Schmalz Inc. today has a competent network of sales engineers, independent sales representatives and technical distributors. The sales network covers the entire North American market. Schmalz is known as innovation and quality leader for Vacuum Components for Automation, Vacuum Gripping-, Vacuum Handling- and Clamping Systems.
