MasterSil 157 Silicone Adhesive Best for Potting/Encapsulation
Description
MasterSil 157 is a two component silicone system that features low viscosity and low exotherm. Similar to other silicones, it is highly flexible with an elongation of 110%-140%, which allowes it to withstand rigorous thermal cycling and shock. It has electrical insulation properties which makes it resistant to water. MasterSil 157 can cure in sections beyond 1-in. thick and is serviceable over a temperature range of -175°F to +500°F [-115°C to +260°C].
MasterSil 157 does not require air for curing, has great optical clarity, and can transmit light from 220-2,500 nanometers. Along with a long pot life of 2-4 hours at room temperature for a 100 gram mass, it is available for use in ½ pints, full pints, quarts, gallons, and five gallon container kits.
