SANTA ROSA, Calif., May 31, 2006 -- SCHURTER’s new RoHS compatible non-resettable fuse series, TF 600, offers a rated breaking capacity of 60 A at 600 VAC, over a current range of 0.5 - 2 A. The fuse is designed to assist manufacturers of telecommunications equipment in meeting power cross and lightning surge requirements as outlined in both North American standards: Telcordia GR-1089 and TIA-968-A (formerly FCC Part 68), as well as UL 60950. It also meets the International standards ITU-T K.20 and IEC 60950.
Its low profile and small footprint conform to industry norms for size, placement and process compatibility. Its markings are clear, and visual identification of rated currents is easy for pick and place. The TF 600 is cURus recognized according to UL 248-14 / CSA C22.2 No. 248.14, and is designed to IEC standard 60127-4. The fuse also holds a “Free of CCC” confirmation for China.
The TF 600’s time-lag tripping characteristic provides reliable supplementary protection of secondary circuits in a variety of telecom systems and networking equipment designated for use around the world. Typical applications include: customer premises equipment (CPE) such as telephones and modems, high-speed transmission equipment like ADSL modems and splitters, and analog line cards (SLIC’s). It is also ideal for use in high-density multiport system designs. The TF 600 is available in 100 piece quantities or 2,000 piece reels for automated assembly. Lead-time is stock to 8 weeks, depending on current rating and volume. Pricing is $0.46 each in 100 pieces quantities.
