Multiple measurements from one device
The SKF Machine Condition Advisor provides an overall “Velocity” vibration reading that measures vibration signals from the machine and automatically compares them to pre-programmed ISO standards. Simultaneously, the unit applies an SKF technique called “Enveloped Acceleration” and compares it to established bearing vibration guidelines to indicate conformity or potential bearing damage. The SKF Machine Condition Advisor also measures temperature using an infrared sensor to indicate uncharacteristic heat.

Features and technology only from SKF
The SKF Machine Condition Advisor is quick and easy to set up and use – the first time, and every time. Users simply turn the unit “on,” then press the sensor tip against the point to be measured. Once the readings stabilize, users press a button to “hold” the values. The unit displays the values and the user reads and records the measurements.

The SKF Machine Condition Advisor presents readings on a bright display viewable in low light to direct sunlight. “Alert” and “Danger” prompts provide increased diagnostic confidence for inexperienced or busy staff. Depending on the selected setting, the front-panel LCD can simultaneously display units in Metric or English, temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit, velocity in mm/s RMS or IPS derived peak, and enveloped acceleration readings in gE.

Lightweight, compact, and ergonomically designed, the SKF Machine Condition Advisor fits neatly in the belt holster, in a pocket or in a toolkit. Exceptionally durable, the unit is rated IP 54 for use in harsh operating environments.
