Thern Makes Tough Davit Cranes Even Tougher

Description

Winona, Minn., February 24, 2005 – Thern davit cranes are now available in Grade 316 stainless steel. The cranes have all the power and portability of Thern’s standard davit cranes with increased corrosion resistance.

Available in portable or stationary models, Thern davit cranes come in a wide variety of sizes and capacities. Each crane is fitted with a Thern hand or power winch featuring a quick disconnect anchor, which allows operators to easily remove the cable from the crane while it is still hooked to the load. Adjustable booms provide different height and reach combinations for various size loads.

Regarded as standard marine grade stainless steel, Grade 316 is highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion even in highly corrosive environments. Making Thern 316 SS model davit cranes ideal for such corrosive applications as handling submersible pumps and mixers in the water/wastewater industry, lifting and positioning loads in mining related industries and helping transport materials on or off deck in maritime industries.
