“Total Power Quality” Guide Provides Solutions to Drive Industrial Performance

ROSEMONT, IL, JUNE 7, 2006 – Sola/Hevi-Duty announced today it has published a guide to help engineers better meet the demand for improved power quality in industries such as factory automation, process control and instrumentation.
Titled “Total Power Quality Solutions Guide,” the 28-page guide presents an overview of solutions achievable through the proper integration of Sola/Hevi-Duty power protection and power conversion products. In addition, it details the benefits resulting from such a solution, including fewer instances of work interruption events and reduced damage to equipment and computer data.
The new “Total Power Quality Solutions Guide” organizes Sola/Hevi-Duty’s portfolio of products into three logical groups: Power Quality Solutions, Control Power Solutions, and Industrial Distribution Transformers. Each page contains complete product information, large color photos and valuable key feature highlights designed to make buying decisions easy and accurate.
Highlighted in the guide is the new SCP-X extreme environment power supply. Designed as a stand-alone unit that can be mounted directly to a machine, the SCP-X delivers 24Vdc power from an IP67-compliant package resistant to dust, water and other contaminants. Another Sola/Hevi-Duty innovation featured in the guide is SDU DIN Rail UPS. These units are designed for secure mounting on a DIN rail to provide protection to sensitive electronics subjected to continuous impulses and voltage fluctuations on the factory floor.
