Axial Fans With Winglet Tips

Description

Rosenberg is enhancing its proven line of sickle-blade axial fans by offering winglet tips on impeller blades from 22 inches (560mm) up to 31.5 inches (800mm) in diameter. Winglets significantly reduce noise and improve fan performance by decreasing turbulence at the wing tips.
This improves fluid dynamics and increases fan output.

The new fans are ideal in many HVAC applications, including condensers, heaters, evaporators, heat pumps and air-cooled water chillers.

The new fan design provides a steep airflow/pressure curve and provides excellent efficiency over a wide range of the curve. Rosenberg’s 31.5-inch axial fans are capable of delivering as much as 14,000 cfm at free air or 7,400 cfm with maximum static pressure 1.0 inch wg. Larger 40-inch (1000mm) models, which will also employ the winglet-style impeller blades, are now in development.

Rosenberg’s axial fans with winglet-tipped blades come in six-bladed models.  They can be installed in any position and speed is 100% infinitely variable. Thermal contacts provide standard motor protection.  Insulation is to Class F and side cable connection or connecting box on the rear side of the motor are standard.

The fans can be specified with or without electronic commutation. Electronically commutated (EC) fans feature standard AC input power, and extended-life, low-temperature brushless DC motors that are controlled by maintenance-free electronic circuitry.
