BISCC Spring Engaged Brakes

Nexen BISCC-rated, spring-engaged brakes provide an ideal solution for e-stop and holding loads in food processing applications. The friction materials used on spring actuated brakes provide optimal torque for the shortest stopping distances or the highest holding forces for a given size. Most of our designs use multiple springs to ensure sufficient holding torque even in the event of a spring failure. Nexen’s wide selection of brakes supports easy integration into existing designs and more freedom of design when starting a new project.
