Chromium Carbide Alloy Electrode Used in Critical Hardsurfacing Applications

Description

60HC Hardsurfacing Electrode is a metal-to-earth wear welding wire that deposits an alloy composed of a high density of primary chromium carbides in an iron matrix. The deposit has high abrasion and moderate impact resistances and relieves itself by cross cracking.

The chromium carbide alloy endures temperatures up to 1,110ºF in hot wear applications such as grinding/pulverizing rolls and table segments, wear plates, clad pipe, dredge pipe shells and related components and hammers. It is available in six diameters from .045 to 1/8 in.
