Cord Grips Designed for Wet, Adverse Industrial Environments

Description

Standard metal fittings will corrode when installed in areas subject to wash-downs, high humidity or corrosive chemicals, resulting in costly factory downtime and expensive repairs. To assure maximum productivity in challenging environments, Appleton has introduced a new line of stainless steel and Nickel plated aluminum cord grips optimized for use in food processing plants, breweries, waste water treatment centers and petrochemical facilities.

Appleton Cord Grips terminate flexible metallic electrical cable either at a conduit hub or a knockout to provide an environmental seal against water and other contaminants. An installer-friendly design, compact form factor and premium materials provide for fast assembly.  The new grips are available with or without strain reliefs that offer added safety against cable pullout and conductor breakage in applications calling for repeated movement.

Appleton's Stainless Steel and Nickel Plated Aluminum Corrosion-Resistant Cord Grips are available in four distinct designs:

•    Stainless Steel straight cord grips, hub sizes 3/8" - 2" (NPT)
•    Stainless Steel straight cord grips, hub sizes 3/8" - 1" (NPT) with stainless steel wire mesh strain relief
•    Nickel Plated Aluminum straight cord grips, hub sizes 3/8" - 2" (NPT)
•    Nickel Plated Aluminum straight cord grips, hub sizes 3/8" - 1" (NPT) with stainless steel wire mesh strain relief
