Description
New from MicroPower Direct, the MD600xRW series provides 6W of output power in an ultra-miniature SIP package. For space critical board level applications, these high performance converters provide a size reduction of greater than 60% over comparable 6W power converters cased in industry standard dual-in-line (DIP) packages. Thirty-Six models operate from wide 2:1 inputs of 4.5 - 9, 9 - 18, 18 - 36 and 36 - 75 VDC; providing single and dual outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 24, ±5, ±12 or ±15 VDC. Standard features include continuous short circuit protection, efficiency as high as 86%, an input/output isolation of 1,500 VDC, and low noise operation. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MD600xRW series is greater than 770 kHours.
The MD600xRW family is packaged in an ultra-miniature, SIP case that requires very little board space. The pin-out is industry standard and all case materials meet UL94-V0 requirements. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with no derating/heat sinking required. The MD600xRW series is an ideal solution for a wide variety of board level power distribution applications requiring miniature size, robust performance, and low cost.
