DT-XT Sealed Connector System
Description
The DT-XT Sealed Connector System meets reliability needs of commercial vehicle applications operating in harsh environments.
It features innovative, high-performance sealing technology. The advanced sealing materials and covalent bond offer increased flexibility resulting in improved tear resistance and seal positioning for the ICT market.
Additionally, a rear sealing cover protects against water ingress due to enhanced cable management. The connectors have a design that works with the industry's current standard tools and eliminates the need for costly redesigns. The DT-XT connector is IP69K-rated and J2030 power-wash tested.
The connector system also features secure mating and unmating as the connector housing has an integrated lock that provides secure mating and electrical connection in the vehicle. Finger grips on the locking mechanism provide a ribbed surface that makes it easier to connect, disconnect, and release even when fingers are wet, dirty or oily. With the range of DT-XT crimp terminals, lower insertion and withdrawal forces are possible.
The sealed connection system is offered in a broad range of colors and an array of custom options, enhancing poka-yoke and removing the need for labeling of wires.

- Snap-in HCR (High consistency rubber) Seals: Located on the back of the covers without exceeding the dimensions of the enclosures, which allows for flexible cable exits and movements and protects against damage during insertion or removal of the terminal.
- Housing: Available in various color codes. The colored housings facilitate and simplify the insertion of wire harnesses through visual components, which prevents mismating and the need for labeling wires.
- Advanced Sealing Materials: Offer greater flexibility, which results in improved tear resistance, while a rear seal cover protects against water ingress. The DT-XT Connector fulfils the specifications of the Heavy-Duty Electrical Connector Performance Standard test SAE J2030.

- Integrated Rear Covers: Removes the bend radius of the seal. By seating the rear seal deeper into the connector, the rear cover takes this stress protecting the seal and preventing leak path.
- Thermoplastic Plug Housing: Forms a covalent bond with the LSR seal, resulting in a strong interlock. This prevents fluid ingress and seal loss or misalignment, even though repeated mating and un-mating.
