Expanded Belt Calibration System
Description
Conveyor Technologies expanded belt calibration system allows rapid tuning, and confirmation of specified belt tension, avoiding “random tensioning” (A major cause of belt related “Downtime”, and component wear). “Length compensation” provides consistent tension when belts vary in length. Stability of the setting is enhanced due to a low thermal expansion of the steel frame. Utilizing the swing up tail feature of The C.T.L. modular plastic belt conveyor provides the ability to replace the belt, without tools, on a stand mounted conveyor, in under two minutes. The tail pulley retains it’s calibration when retracted, and restores belt to calibration value when reset by hand depressing. A pre-calibrated tail pulley can be installed, ready to run, in one minute. All C.T.L. belt conveyors will incorporate this feature which includes an optional “Top Release” when conveyor side access is not possible. A high degree of standardization allows retro-fitting to any standard C.T. L. conveyor.
