Fine Grinding System
Description
Full line of single-side and double-side fine grinding systems offers fast material removal rates, precision tolerances, clean ground parts, and easy disposal of waste. Machines are available with wheel diameters up to 1,600 mm, and with several super-abrasive wheel configurations. Also called flat honing, fine grinding uses diamond or CBN abrasive wheels instead of the abrasive slurries used in conventional lapping. Process achieves tolerances of flatness to one light band, and parallelism and repeatability to 1 micron.
