Flint II Work Boots & Shoes

As a follow-up to the fan-favorite Flint—the long-trusted, light-duty safety shoe—the Flint II is a comfortable upshot that will leave workers reinvigorated. The Flint II and Flint II Sport work boots and shoes feature the KEEN.ReGEN midsole.

KEEN.ReGEN was introduced in early 2019 as a proprietary lightweight, performance midsole technology. Now, even lighter than the original Flint, the reinvented Flint II gets the added benefit of the KEEN.ReGEN’s all-day comfort extreme underfoot cushioning, support, and shock absorption along with a superior compression resistance that “bounces” back.

These hiking-inspired work boots and shoes feature a highly slip-resistant, siped EH-rated rubber outsole for better traction. With an External Stability Shank (ESS) for midfoot support and a hiking-inspired heel cup to secure the foot, the Flint II is well-grounded in comfort and stability. The Flint II series offers footwear with varying features, with two Men’s versions featuring the KEEN.Dry waterproof, breathable membrane.

The Flint II Sport models are a slightly sportier edition for men and women. Again, featuring KEEN.ReGEN, the lightweight midsole that provides 50% more energy return than standard EVA foam, the shoe also features left and right asymmetrical, non-metallic carbon-fiber toes, which are 15% lighter than steel safety toe caps.

The Flint II Sport’s 100% non-metallic construction allows for easy pass-through in highly-secured areas where metal detectors otherwise would stop boots with metal eyelets, toe caps, and lace hooks. The Sport variant is also built with the KEEN KonnectFit heel-capture system, giving the wearer a locked-in feel throughout the day.

Exclusive to KEEN Utility footwear, the signature asymmetrical steel and carbon safety toes found in the Flint II and Flint II Sport series offer an unobtrusive fit and toe protection that exceeds ASTM safety standards. Other performance and safety features include an oil and slip-resistant non-marking, EH-rated rubber outsole that satisfies Mark II and Satra non-slip testing standards, an antimicrobial lining providing natural odor protection free of chemicals and perfumes, locking metal lace hooks (on non-Sport models), and reflective webbing for additional safety and visibility.
