Food Grade Flexible Liquidtight Steel Conduit - Electri-Flex Co

Electri-Flex Company has released a new UL Listed jacketed metallic liquidtight flexible steel conduit called LAFG (LA-Food Grade) into the Liquatite® family. LAFG is ideally used in special purpose food equipment such as food processing, packaging, cooking, canning and bottling equipment, as well as pharmaceutical manufacturing, meat and poultry packing facilities and restaurants because it provides a liquidtight flexible protective wiring raceway, working temperatures of -30°C to 80°C Dry / 60°C Wet / 70°C Oil, smooth exterior for easy wash down, does not promote bacteria growth and is resistant to Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach).

Type LAFG is similar to Type LA with the flexible inner core made from a spiral-wound strip of heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant, hot-dipped galvanized steel. The outer flexible PVC jacket is made from an FDA approved compound formulated for “Splash Zone” food and beverage contact per FDA CFR21 and NSF 51/61 requirements. Type LAFG is a Certified Component for NSF/ANSI 169 special purpose food equipment or devices. Standard color is white with other colors available upon request. It is available in sizes 3/8” through 2” and can be used with Standard Liquid-tight Connectors.
