FSMR3000 Measuring Receiver

Description

The FSMR3000 is a microwave measurement receiver that can calibrate signal generators and attenuators with one single instrument. Important features provided include tuned RF level measurements, level measurements, analog modulation, and spectrum analysis. Additionally, it can be equipped with powerful hardware for high-end phase noise test supplementary to the standard phase noise test with the spectrum analyzer. It also offers digital and analog modulation signal analysis, 80 MHz analysis bandwidth, analysis of pulses, and VOR/ILS signals. The FSMR as a single box instrument is designed to reduce the complexity in calibration capabilities for the A&D industry.

Along with level calibration, the receiver provides analog AM, FM, and φM modulation analysis. The 8 GHz, 26.5 GHz, and 50 GHz instruments provide all necessary measurement capabilities in a compact single box instrument. The high dynamic range of the FSMR has a level measurement range of -152 to +30 dBm.

AM modulation depths from 0 to 100% and FM frequency deviations as wide as 16 MHz can be measured. The instrument has a 16-bit AD converter with 200 Msamples/s for modulation analysis with an internal signal analysis bandwidth of up to 80 MHz. If the analysis option is installed, modulation measurements on digital modulated signals are also possible. Pulses can be automatically analyzed. No additional vector signal analyzers are needed to measure the performance of these signals.
