HARDSURFACING ELECTRODES

Select-Arc, Inc. has introduced two austenitic manganese build-up wires for difficult hardsurfacing welding applications. Both deliver unlimited deposit thicknesses and eliminate typical cracking issues that are common with these alloys. SelectWear MN is designed for severe impact with moderate abrasion. It yields a very tough, impact resistant deposit which work hardens in use. SelectWear GP joins, repairs and builds up manganese steel parts while exhibiting outstanding impact resistance. These hardsurfacing electrodes are available in .045”, 1/16” and 7/64” diameters. SelectWear MN and SelectWear GP have been developed to handle such demanding hardsurfacing welding applications as manganese rock crushing hammers and rolls, impactor bars, gyratory mantles and dredge components.
