Description

Several charts are also available comparing cartridge/inline cartridges sizes to KDF 55 medium used, cartridge and filter dechlorination, and shower filter dechlorination.
When used ahead of the granular activated carbon stage in POU water filters, KDF 55 reduces bacteria, free chlorine, heavy metal content, scale buildup, and reduces filter maintenance. It is a high-purity copper-zinc alloy that works in cold or hot water and in small or large systems. KDF 55 also helps reduce system maintenance, extend the life of some system components and eliminates the need for expensive and toxic silver-impregnated media.
KDF Fluid Treatment, Inc. provides water filter media for water pretreatment, primary treatment, and industrial applications to extend system life, lower total cost, decrease maintenance and reduce heavy metals, microorganisms and scale. Two product lines are available, KDF 55 Process Medium and KDF 85 Process Medium, of high-purity, granulated copper and zinc-based alloys. KDF media can remove up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals.
