High flexibility, simple operation and powerful drives have made Schleuniger’s reliable JacketStrip 8400 an instant success on the market since its introduction more than 10 years ago. Now the machine is available with faster pull-off speed for shorter cycle times and has lower maintenance costs. The JacketStrip 8400 is a durable and powerful jacket stripping machine for large cables with tough insulations. Four rotary blades guarantee high precision centering of the cable and clean incisions into the cable insulation. No blade changes are required for stripping different cables. Its simple operation, reliability and broad application range provide for short operator training times and a quick return on investment. Compared to the original model, the new JacketStrip 8400 is faster and requires less maintenance. Its main technical improvement is a new ball bearing lead screw for the stripping axis, resulting in a 250% increase in stripping speed with no reduction in stripping force. Additional benefits of the new technology are less maintenance and longer service life. Overall, the new JacketStrip 8400 features all the benefits of its predecessor with significantly improved productivity.
