Lift-Truck Governor Upgrade

Safety Systems & Controls, Inc. (SSC) is proud to introduce a new vehicle control system for fork trucks and other vehicles with mechanical governors.
“In essence”, says Chris Webre, President, Safety Systems & Controls, “we have designed a system that makes a mechanical governor truck behave like an electronic governor truck.” In doing so, older trucks are updated with many of the safety features only offered on new trucks. Incorporated into SpeedZone DP are many of the options found in Safety Systems & Control’s DOT-Lok Speed Sensitive Shifting and PACE-One Speed Limiter products.
In addition to enhanced safety, equipment lifespan is extended by protecting the drive-line from operator abuse. SpeedZone DP offers the following programmable features:
Two different top travel speeds
Engine Braking
Traction Control
Travel speed shift inhibitor
Engine speed shift inhibitor
Auxiliary Inputs
System Diagnostics
Ninety percent of the system is universal to all installations. The remaining ten percent is mostly mounting brackets. Sealed connectors allow for installations in harsh environments.
