Very fast and very capable, the UniSpeed can complete many parts in a single setup with 5-sided machining. A Universal CNC Machining Center with Turning Capabilities, the new machine is designed for precision applications in the aerospace, petroleum, mold-making, subcontracting, and other fields. It has been widely accepted in Europe. With a generous work envelope of 63 x 63 x 47 inches (X, Y, Z), speed, and 5-sided machining and turning capabilities, the UniSpeed 5 offers extreme versatility and superior value because of its ability to greatly reduce in-process times. The machine features the powerful, proven SHW universal spindle head, offering 5-sided machining with 64,800 programmable spindle orientations. Customers no longer need to select a horizontal or vertical machine ... the UniSpeed 5 covers all applications. Also capable of high-speed machining, the UniSpeed 5 features a milling spindle with 35 hp drive, spindle speeds up to 6,000 rpm or, if equipped with a high frequency spindle, up to 30,000 rpm. The UniSpeed positions rapidly with rapid traverse of 98 fpm and 2g acceleration. No foundation required for this rigid bridge type design which makes use of highly stable mineral castings. The travel of machine column (X-axis) 78 inch. Turning table diameter 63 in. with table load capacity to 13,200 lb. Table speed for turning operations up to 250 rpm The automatic toolchanging system includes up to 90 tools for fully automatic production. Pallet changer is optional.
