Moisture-Barrier Paper and Linerboard

EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper and Linerboard are coated with a water-based barrier coating that resists moisture, grease, and oil. When tested according to ASTM E-96, EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper shows a Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) comparable to polycoated paper and far superior to waxed paper.

EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper and Linerboard are fully recyclable/repulpable into other types of paper products such as boxes, cardboard, and other corrugated materials. This represents good resource stewardship while still achieving critical packaging qualities. Users of EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper and Linerboard thus have the opportunity to contribute to a “circular economy” while still getting the benefits of moisture barrier packaging.

EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper and Linerboard can be used in a variety of applications, such as packaging oily and greasy parts/items or protecting other moisture sensitive components. To broaden its potential uses, EcoShield Recyclable Barrier Paper and Linerboard are made from components formulated in compliance with FDA Code of Federal Regulations Title 21.
