New BBX50 Lift Truck Designed to Reduce Maintenance Costs

CLEVELAND, OH – At this year’s NA06 show at the IX Center, Tusk Lift Trucks introduced its newest generation of the BBX series forklift. The BBX series electric motor counter balanced sit down lift truck, has been redesigned to expand Tusk’s line of electric trucks to now include lifting capacities ranging from 4,000 – 6,500 pounds. These new trucks will feature both an AC drive motor and hydraulic motor (Total AC) aimed at reducing truck maintenance costs and increasing customer productivity. In a statement about the new BBX50 series trucks, Tusk Eastern Regional Dealer Manager, Janet Clarke said, “With the additional new models to our class I product line, it will assist us to become a key player in the electric truck market.”

This new generation of lift trucks has increased performance, power, and reliability while lowering maintenance time and costs. The advancement from DC motors to AC motors has enabled Tusk Lift Trucks to increase power and performance while reducing the number of replacement parts. Along with changes to the drive system, new operator compartment improvements have been implemented. The operator has several programming controls including maximum speed, lifting speed, and regenerative braking. The new electric lift truck fits indoor applications including warehousing, grocery, beverage, carpet, and many more.
