August, 2004, Flanders, NJ -- The all-new Testo 830 series, is the contractor’s choice for fast, easy, and very affordable infrared temperature measurement. Both the 830-T1 and the 830 T2 automatically measure and display temperature readings from -25 °F to +572 °F making the units suitable for a wide range of applications in HVAC/R, automotive, cold storage, etc.. An alarm both audibly and visibly warns when the user adjustable temperature set point is exceeded. Other handy features include: backlit display, convenient trigger operation, HOLD function, response time of ½ second, and adjustable emissivity. The 830-T1 has a single point laser and 10:1 optics ratio, while the 830-T2 has a 12:1 optics ratio and a 2 spot laser for more precise measurements along with a K-type thermocouple socket for contact measurements. The 830-T2 is available in a kit with a leather holster and surface probe. The holster is available as an option for the 830-T1. Both 830s come complete with batteries, instruction manuals and a two-year warranty.
