Hills, Ill., November 19, 2005—Cole-Parmer Instrument Company introduces the all-new Masterflex® L/S® Easy-Load® 3 pump head—a leap forward in pump head usability without compromising performance. Features include new, twist-lock mounting and automatic tubing retention. The polypropylene housing offers excellent chemical resistance and the pump head is available with either a cold-rolled steel or stainless steel rotor.
Twist-lock mounting feature allows user to mount a single head or stack multiple heads in seconds without tools or hardware—mounting plate adapts head to all L/S® pump drives. Tubing retainers automatically grip and securely hold tubing when head is closed. The occlusion bed applies optimal occlusion force to all accepted tubing sizes, and the wide occlusion angle prevents fluid backflow.
Flow range of the Easy-Load® 3 pump head is 0.06 to 2900 mL/min. Same-side tubing entry/exit offers easy integration into space-limited applications and allows user to mount and operate the pump in any of four positions.
