PD3.0 Intelligent Chargers

PD3.0-compliant fast mobile chargers for consumer and industrial applications are pocket-sized chargers that are available in 20, 30, 65, and 100 W versions and are compatible with Apple, Samsung, Google, LG, and other brands. They are ideal for charging mobile phones, notebooks, tablets, portable devices, test instruments, and audio/video gear. The four compact chargers with 65 and 100 W models featuring exchangeable AC plugs are available with USB-A and USB-C ports in configurations from one to four ports.

The charger detects the connected device to deliver the right amount of power to charge that device quickly, ensuring fast charging without delivering too much power. Through the use of an intelligent communication protocol, the chargers automatically select the appropriate DC output voltage required for the user device to be charged (standard outputs are 5, 9, 12, 15, and 20V). With full load efficiency, the chargers (30 W and above) use Gallium Nitride semiconductors making the chargers faster, smaller, cooler, and more power-efficient than many other chargers on the market.

The PD3 Series meets the U.S. Department of Energy’s Level 6 requirements and E.U. CoC requirements. Operating over a universal AC input ranging from 100 to 240V AC (90 to 264V AC), the mobile chargers provide a precise regulated single output voltage according to the demand of the PD3.0 device.

Brightworks can mass-produce the chargers in custom colors with custom branding and retail packaging. In addition, interchangeable blades for international use are available.
