QUINT DC/DC Converters

The latest generation of QUINT DC/DC Converters features conformal coating for protection in harsh environments. The converters have been approved for use in ATEX, IECEx, and Class I, Division 2 locations, so they can be used in hazardous locations around the globe.

The conformal coating protects against dust and conductive debris, corrosive gases, and humidity, and it prevents failures due to creepage currents and electromechanical corrosion. It also reduces the risk of failure due to vibration and thermal shock.

The converters can amplify, isolate, and convert voltage, and they also allow for the creation of an independent supply system. Their output side enables easy expansion and a reliable heavy load startup. The converters feature Phoenix Contact's Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB) Technology, which offers protection by means of magnetically tripping circuit breakers with six times the nominal current (SFB pulse).

The DC/DC converters are available in both 5 and 10 Amp versions. They feature Push-in Technology for easy installation. Designed with applications in harsh and cold conditions in mind, the selected components in these converters are not only high in quality, but can also withstand temperatures from -40 to +158°F (-40 to +70 °C).
